Introduction

This project began from a highschool project of mine, on sound and hearing. Since then, considerable expansion has taken place. First, synthesis was incorporated, then effects, then everything else that goes with the territory of making music with digital audio. After that, it became clear that talking about synthesis, effects and audio editing environments was not enough, per se, but actual, working examples were needed as well. This is how the idea for this page came to be.

Now, a couple of years after its inception, the page still hasn’t advanced beyond a haphazard disposition. There are two main reasons for that. First, the companion audio page is really my first priority at the moment and tends to take a lot of time. Second, I am really more geared toward the theory, not implementation. Writing code and especially code fragments without a proper surrounding framework is quite difficult for me. This page will develop at a considerably slower pace than its theoretical counterpart, then. However, no intention of dropping the page has developed. I will come back with code, once the theory part has advanced beyond the math section…
